Job summary

Gertens Family of Businesses is seeking a Sales Representative for Greenhouse Production. You will build relationships with contractors and customers, provide expert product recommendations, and coordinate orders and deliveries to help grow our greenhouse business.

Ideal candidates have sales experience and industry knowledge in horticulture or greenhouse operations. The role requires visiting job sites, maintaining product knowledge, and occasional travel; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience within horticulture, greenhouse, or related fields.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel locally to customer sites and job sites.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and product knowledge.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in the horticulture, greenhouse, nursery, or plant science industry? Do you enjoy building lasting customer relationships, identifying solutions, and growing business through exceptional service? If so, we'd love to meet you!

As a Sales Representative in our Greenhouse Production team, you'll partner with contractors and customers to provide expert product recommendations, outstanding support, and innovative solutions that help their businesses thrive while expanding our greenhouse business.

Ideal candidates must have previous sales experience along with industry knowledge in horticulture (Annuals), greenhouse operations, plant science, or a closely related field. If you're passionate about helping customers succeed and enjoy working in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment, we encourage you to apply.

Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime required during peak seasons as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Build strong relationships with contractors and customers by providing outstanding service.
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate deliveries with operations and dispatch.
• Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs and project requirements.
• Visit customer job sites to support projects and identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain showroom displays and product knowledge.
• Resolve customer questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
• Support sales growth through account development, product promotions, and teamwork.

What You'll Need:

• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Sales experience ideal; horticulture, greenhouse, or landscape knowledge is required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Completed High School Diploma, Associate degree in Horticulture, Plant Science or related field preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel locally to customer and job sites as needed.
