Spikes and Houles in Forest Lake is seeking a Customer Sales Representative to assist customers in-store and in the garden center, offering guidance on feed, lawn and garden products, and providing expert advice to ensure an exceptional shopping experience.

This role requires standing 8-10 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling cash transactions, with duties including greeting customers, product recommendations, and maintaining tidy displays.

Responsibilities

At Spikes and Houles in Forest Lake we are looking for passionate individuals to join our team and provide exceptional service for our customers! If you love working with people and are ready to take on a fun, fast-paced environment, we want YOU!

This position will offer up to 20 hours/week. Candidates must be available to work evening weekend hours.

As a Customer Sales Representative, you'll be helping customers with their needs both inside the store and the garden center, whether it's selecting the perfect feed, offering expert advice, or assisting with our wide variety of lawn and garden products. You'll be at the heart of our store, ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience while:

• Greeting customers and providing personalized solutions.
• Assisting with product recommendations, warranties, and replacement parts.
• Keeping the store organized and stocked with seasonal items.
• Operating cash registers and managing payment transactions.
• Maintaining outdoor displays and helping customers with their purchases, including our carry-out service.
• Safely handling live chicks and other seasonal products.
• Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely unload trucks and pull customer orders.
• Contributing to the store's visual displays and keeping everything neat and tidy.

Essential Qualifications:

• 1+ year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Availability to work weekend hours and Opening or Closing shifts (this is essential for the role!).
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks (bending, stooping, etc.).
• A love for customer service, with excellent communication and listening skills!
