Sales Representatives are responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships while driving sales growth throughout the assigned territory. This role focuses on promoting Mayer Fabrics' product portfolio to the architecture and design community, furniture dealerships, manufacturers, purchasing firms, and end users through product presentations, specification development, and consultative selling.
Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, growing existing accounts, conducting in-person customer visits, managing sales activities through CRM, delivering educational presentations, attending industry events, and achieving territory sales objectives. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, relationship-focused, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer service while representing the Mayer Fabrics brand.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalen professional experience.
Minimum of 3–5 years of outside sales, commercial interiors, interior design, or related industry experience.
Experience selling contract textiles or commercial interior products is preferred.
Proven ability to build relationships, develop new business, and achieve sales goals.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and networking skills.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
Knowledge of the architecture and design (A&D) community is preferred; involvement with IIDA, NEWH, or ASID is a plus.
Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.
Candidates must reside within territory.
