SMS group is seeking a Sales and Proposal Engineer for steelmaking and continuous casting in Pittsburgh, PA. The role coordinates technical sales activities, drafts proposals, and manages cost estimates, while collaborating with sales, engineering and automation teams to win projects.

The candidate should have a mechanical/metallurgical/materials background, 5 years of design and proposal experience, and be willing to travel domestically and internationally to support customers.

• Prepare and edit cost estimates for proposed projects with the estimator.
• Present proposals and SMS group technology to customers.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required; assist in commissioning equipment.
