Job summary

Cotterman & Sons is seeking a Sales & Operations Coordinator to own the coordination and client-facing workload. You will report to the Senior Associate/PM and work onsite during initial training (60-90 days) at our Columbus, OH office, with growth potential as responsibilities expand.

We value a proven background in similar roles, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision after training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project coordination, operations, or client-facing administrative roles (construction or field services industry strongly preferred)
• Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and make sound judgment calls independently
• Strong written and verbal communication — comfortable representing the company directly to clients and vendors
• Advanced proficiency with Excel/Office and CRM systems (we use Docket)
• Track record of process improvement or taking ownership beyond assigned tasks

Responsibilities

• Independently manage day-to-day operations: scheduling, job tracking, and follow-up on open items
• Own vendor and subcontractor communication end-to-end (equipment rentals, dumpsters, site services, etc.)
• Draft and refine proposals, pricing sheets, and client-facing documents
• Monitor project status across active jobs, proactively flag issues, and recommend solutions
• Maintain CRM data and internal record-keeping processes
• Coordinate logistics for equipment delivery and pickup, resolving scheduling conflicts independently
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and vendors, representing the company directly
