Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking a Sales Office Administrator/Supervisor for the Mount Airy store to support sales staff and customers. You will help manage customer inquiries, process orders, and assist with back-office tasks including billing and AR management.

The role is full-time and located at the store, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, accuracy, and timely delivery. Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to supervise sales support staff and coordinate orders.
• Experience with billing, AR and credit control is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Enforces organizational sales directives to the sales support staff.
• Works closely with the store manager and assigns salesman/accounts to coordinators at store.
• Ensures adherence to customer order process policies.
• Reviews all sales orders for accuracy, appropriate documentation, and clearance.
• Oversees the preparation of sales quotes and processes customer orders.
• Responds to internal and external audit requests, subsequently preparing audit packages.
• Serves as a liaison between the sales and operations departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Monitors and tracks order processing procedures, implementing improvements when necessary.
• Field phone calls from salesmen and customers to schedule orders
• Coordinate releasing the orders in the system to be delivered
• Check and verify accuracy of billing and manage outstanding AR balance as needed
• Provide detailed updates on shipments, tracking data, and remaining deliveries
• Direct order entry/processing to ensure efficient processing
• Oversee coordinators' support for pricing information and inquiries
