Job description

Job Title: Institutional Sales Operations Lead

As an Institutional Sales Operations Lead in the NACG Business Operations Group, you will act as a business partner to the Institutional segment leadership, guiding the development and execution of objectives, strategies, and initiatives for the Institutional business. Your responsibilities will include facilitating and leading the business planning and review process, developing and executing segment initiatives across cross-functional teams, coordinating sales force messaging, and analyzing data to assess the health of the business. Your strengths include managing ambiguity while navigating evolving circumstances.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive and participate in the business planning process, ensuring projects and initiatives align with and achieve business goals, while leading agenda setting, meeting coordination, and follow-ups across the operation.
  2. Collaborate with key partners across Sales Leadership, Marketing, Product, Insights and Analytics, Global Client Services, and other stakeholders to synthesize information and enable effective decision-making, productivity, and engagement.
  3. Coordinate segment-level and global client events, as well as sales training events.
  4. Enhance sales data reporting for the Institutional team, including territory management/segmentation, pipeline management, and reporting.
  5. Create and maintain industry-level sales reporting and data.
  6. Develop and execute sales initiatives and create sales force messaging that aligns with audience needs and complies with regulatory guidelines.
  7. Represent the voice of the field internally and the Institutional segment perspective in broader NACG initiatives and forums.
  8. Bring a continuous improvement mindset to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  9. Possess a strong foundation in financial principles and an understanding of investment strategies at Capital Group, including Institutional offerings and vehicles.
  10. Understand the diverse range of client and intermediary relationships throughout the sales and service cycle, including intersections with other client segments.
  11. Set and achieve goals, manage multiple projects, and balance stakeholder needs while overcoming objections.
  12. Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, and present confidently internally.
  13. Knowledge of sales tools and resources such as Salesforce.com, Seismic, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc., is preferred.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $136,858 - $218,973

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, eligible employees may receive an annual performance bonus, Capital's annual profitability bonus, and a retirement plan with a 15% employer contribution.
