About Us

Founded by Thomas Odermatt, a third generation "metzgermeister", or master butcher, from Switzerland, Roli Roti originally began in 2003 and since then, the truck has expanded to fleet of six trucks that has been serving Bay Area eaters its beloved perfectly cooked meats--including its famed rotisserie chickens and porchetta sandwiches.

In 2016, Roli Roti entered the retail space, crafting the fastest growing fresh organic bone broth: Butcher's Bone Broth. Organic bones are slowly roasted before being simmered for at least 18 hours with organic carrots. Butcher's Bone Broth is always fresh and never frozen--never compromising on quality or taste, just like the meats from Roli Roti's original trucks. The retail line has since expanded, including the original porchetta and potatoes from the trucks, as well as carnitas, chicken, and carrots.

Our Oakland production facility is now capable of producing more than our own products. Our growing facility creates private label and co-packed goods for some of the nations largest retail brands and are providing foodservice directly to restaurants and through restaurant warehouses.

Job Description

The Sales Operations Associate is an integral part of the sales organization. Our company is experiencing rapid growth that requires a proactive and detail-oriented self-doer to streamline communications between customers, sales, quality assurance, and production.

This role requires a highly motivated person who can manage several projects at a time, while ruthlessly prioritizing which projects to focus on. The core responsibilities for your role will be starting with order entry and customer service, then taking on additional responsibilities as you become more proficient in the role.

Note that this is a highly visible role, where several people within our organization have started from and now have advanced to managerial responsibilities. This is a great role for someone looking for an opportunity to grow long-term within an organization.

Job Responsibilities

1. Order Processing
   • Accurately process wholesale and retail orders using QuickBooks.
   • Confirm orders have correct prices, discounts, delivery dates, and order minimums.
   • Communicate with customers about expected delivery dates and coordinate with production team.
2. Customer Service
   • Answer customer inquiries about product information and availability via phone and email.
   • Manage customer requests such as order changes and product availability updates through phone and email communication.
   • Phone Management: Answer the office phone, direct calls as needed, and provide customer support where applicable.
   • Organize and submit promotional plans for retailers and distributors.
   • Travel Arrangements: Coordinate travel bookings for staff, including flights, accommodations, and transportation logistics.
   • General Office Support: Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, scheduling, and maintaining office supplies.
   • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to streamline operations and enhance the customer experience.
   • Manage Sample requests, including packing, shipping, and communication with potential customers.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills - Proficiency with QuickBooks (we can train you) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Desire to assist staffers and clients.
• An ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced dynamic environment to meet deadlines, while working independently and as part of a team.
• Self-starter who is resourceful and willing to jump in where needed.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
• Interest in the food culture and sustainable food movement.
• 2 or more years of experience as Sales Assistant is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
• Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
