Job summary

Associated Grocers Baton Rouge is seeking a Sales & Marketing Coordinator to provide essential administrative and project support to department directors, category managers, and field teams. You will help ensure smooth operations, manage deal sheets, and handle data entry for promotions and orders.

The role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with Excel/Word/Adobe Acrobat, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; a two-year degree or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school, or related experience.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to Department Directors, Category Managers, and Retail Field Teams.
• Enter data and maintain records for deal sheets and cost changes.
• Create and adjust surveys to promote deals and promotions to vendors and member retailers.
• Contact vendors and member retailers regarding product availability and orders.
• Assist Category Managers by entering promo buys for ads and promotions.
• Enter, modify, and research booked orders from member retailers and vendors.
• Prepare for period end by completing department transfers and billbacks.
• Provide daily reporting and run analytic reports as needed.
• Maintain data integrity and perform related tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide continuous administrative support to the various departments in the Sales and Marketing Division, including the Department Directors, the Category Managers and Field Teams.
• Enter data and maintain records for deal sheets and cost changes.
• Create and adjust surveys include using creativity to promote deals, special events and/or promotions to vendors and member retailers.
• Contact vendors and member retailers as needed in regards product availability, items ordered, or moving items.. (Including selling sheets).
• Assist the Category Managers by entering promo buys for ads and special promotions.
• Enter, modify, and research booked orders from member retailers and vendors.
• Prepare for period end by completing all department transfers and billbacks.
• Research – deals and billbacks.
• Insufficient product notification to retail including availability of product.
• Cross train to gain the knowledge within department.
• Create credits or charges to member retailers and vendors maintaining records of all.
• Provide daily reporting and run analytic reports as needed.
• Assist with maintenance of data integrity.
• Phone coverage when Category Manager is out.
• Perform other related tasks as required.

Education And/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be technologically proficient in order to master proprietary software necessary for job functions. Individual should be proficient in Excel spreadsheet software, Word word-processing software, and Adobe Acrobat.
