Swickard Auto Group in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the sales team across our Thousand Oaks dealerships, coaching consultants, running structured desking sessions, and driving consistent production. You will desk deals with precision and integrity, manage floor coverage, and ensure a standout guest experience from first contact through delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Sales Manager or senior desk manager experience at a franchised dealership.
• Luxury, import, or domestic brand experience welcome at our Thousand Oaks portfolio.
• Demonstrates a high Hospitality Quotient with kindness, optimism, curiosity, work ethic, empathy and integrity.
• Confident at the desk with fast, accurate deal structuring that preserves guest relationships.
• Strong CRM discipline and a culture of follow-up and process accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the sales team daily, coaching consultants and running structured desking sessions.
• Desk deals with precision, urgency, and integrity, structuring transactions that work for guest and business.
• Manage floor coverage and guest experience from first contact through delivery.
• Monitor performance against units, gross per vehicle, closing ratio, lead response time, CRM compliance.
• Partner with finance to ensure clean deal handoffs and a seamless guest experience.
• Support inventory management with the GSM, monitoring turn, aging, and lot activity.
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding new sales consultants.
• Resolve escalated guest concerns with composure and professionalism.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist in recruiting and onboarding new sales consultants

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of Sales Manager or senior desk manager experience at a franchised dealership -- required
• Luxury, import, or domestic brand experience welcome -- Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Land Rover, Acura, Honda, Chevrolet, GMC, or similar backgrounds all valued across our Thousand Oaks portfolio
• Demonstrates a high HQ (Hospitality Quotient) -- kindness and optimism, intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
• Confident at the desk -- able to structure deals quickly, accurately, and with the guest relationship intact
• Strong CRM discipline and the ability to build a culture of follow-up and process accountability on the floor
• Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred
• Professional, polished communicator who earns the trust of the team and the respect of the guest
• A hospitality mindset -- you lead the floor the way Swickard leads its stores: guest-first, every time
