Job summary

Thompson Machinery in Nashville is seeking a Construction Equipment - Sales Manager to lead our sales organization for Thompson Machinery’s full lineup of new equipment. You will develop growth strategies, coach the sales team, and align activities with profitability and market share goals.

The role reports to the VP of Sales and requires strong relationship building, industry knowledge, and coordination with service and parts teams to meet customer needs and ensure satisfactory delivery and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required.
• Experience leading and managing a sales force, including pipeline management, P&L responsibilities, inventory management, used trade-in valuation and budgeting.
• Experience representing and selling high-value construction equipment (Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, etc.).
• Knowledge of the construction industry and familiarity with area construction and material handling processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Thompson Machinery’s sales organization for the full lineup of new Caterpillar equipment within the territory.
• Develop and execute growth strategies, coach and expand the sales team, and align with profitability and market share goals.
• Ensure customer satisfaction across the sales, delivery, follow-up, and documentation processes.
• Coordinate with product support to provide parts, services, and field technician support.
• Travel within the territory as required to meet customers and events.
