Job summary

Metal Deck Supply, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and grow the company’s metal deck sales across multiple states.

You will direct a team of sales professionals, establish annual targets, and build robust account lists while coordinating with operations and marketing to ensure availability, pricing and delivery excellence. The role requires 5–10 years of sales leadership in related industries, strong CRM and pipeline management, and a collaborative leadership style.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of sales leadership experience in building materials, steel products, distribution or similar.
• Experience with distribution materials supply chain.
• Proficient in CRM software (Sage CRM preferably) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experienced in blueprint reading and project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, establish sales strategy, performance metrics and work directly with sales team to set and accomplish goals.
• Lead, mentor and conduct ongoing training for a team of 8 sales professionals.
• Maintain and update continuity and SOPs for Sales department.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to recruit, onboard and train new sales staff when needed.
• Territory Management: refine customer lists and territories, monitor goals and analyze stats, participate in industry events, prospect new business, understand competition, lead weekly sales meetings.
• Customer Relations: maintain strong relationships with key accounts and metal deck suppliers, engage in negotiations and resolve escalated issues, develop prospect lists.
• Collaboration with all departments: partner with Operations, contribute to marketing plans, work with accounting on bills and margins.
