Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Sales Manager to support the Store Manager in daily store operations and to drive sales performance. You will oversee KPI metrics, coach the sales team, and ensure guest satisfaction while coordinating with visual merchandising and administration.

The role offers a base salary range of $72,000 to $84,000 per year, with additional incentive compensation tied to store revenue and margins. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years in retail.
• Ability to motivate employees to achieve sales KPI’s.
• Ability to handle guest concerns in a timely manner.
• Ability to interview and staff retail location.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in supervising all sales KPI’s.
• Handle customer issues in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide leadership to sales, guest experience, and visual teams.
• Coach sales staff for team success.
• Assist the Store Manager in maintaining budgeted administrative costs.
• Ensure complete documentation of procedures and tasks.
• Complete various report functions in a timely manner.
• Aid to maintain proper staffing levels for the sales team job code per budget.
• Prepare and administer coaching sessions for development of the sales team.
• Coordinate and execute daily/weekly peak state huddles.
• Work with Visual Presentation Manager on product placement.
• Report changes in policy and other information to staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the retail store.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Store Managers in overseeing all sales KPI’s including but not limited to; volume, margin, closing ratio, sales per guest, bedding and protection.
• The ability to handle all customer-related issues in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide exceptional leadership with timely and effective communication to the sales, guest experience, and visual teams.
• Coach members of the sales staff to build individual and team success in a professional manner.
• Assist the Store Manager in maintaining budgeted administrative costs including wages and supplies.
• Ensure complete and adequate documentation of procedures and tasks completed.
• Complete various report functions in a timely manner.
• Aid to maintain proper staffing levels for the sales team job code in accordance with company set budget levels.
• Prepare and administer impact coaching sessions for the development of the sales team.
• Coordinate and execute daily, weekly peak state huddles.
• Work with the Visual Presentation Manager regarding product placement.
• Report changes in policy and other information to staff members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Compensation:

Individual compensation packages are determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Annual Base Salary Range: $72,000.00 – $84,000.00. In addition to base pay, employees are eligible to earn monthly incentive compensation based on Store Revenue, Protection Gross Margin, Bedding Margin, and Conversion.
