Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Sales Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations at our Torrance, CA location. This role focuses on achieving sales KPIs, leading the sales team, and ensuring exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, managing budgets, reporting, and coordinating with visual teams. The position offers benefits and a base salary in the advertised range, with opportunities for incentive compensation based on store performance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Managers in overseeing all sales KPI’s including volume, margin, closing ratio, sales per guest, bedding and protection.
• Handle customer-related issues in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide leadership with timely communication to sales, guest experience, and visual teams.
• Coach sales staff to build individual and team success in a professional manner.
• Assist the Store Manager in managing budgeted administrative costs including wages and supplies.
• Ensure documentation of procedures and tasks completed.
• Complete various report functions in a timely manner.
• Maintain staffing levels for the sales team per budget.
• Coordinate and administer coaching sessions for development of the sales team.
• Coordinate daily/weekly peak state huddles.
• Work with Visual Presentation Manager on product placement.
• Report changes in policy to staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary: The Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the retail store.

• Prepare and administer impact coaching sessions for the development of the sales team.
• Coordinate and execute daily, weekly peak state huddles.
• Work with the Visual Presentation Manager regarding product placement.
• Report changes in policy and other information to staff members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Compensation: Individual compensation packages are determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Annual Base Salary Range: $72,000.00 – $84,000.00. In addition to base pay, employees are eligible to earn monthly incentive compensation based on Store Revenue, Protection Gross Margin, Bedding Margin, and Conversion.
