Swickard Auto Group's Land Rover Thousand Oaks is seeking a proven Sales Manager to lead the luxury floor, coach consultants, and drive production across new and certified pre-owned vehicles.

The role emphasizes process discipline, hospitality-driven guest service, and CRM performance in a top Southern California market. 2+ years at a franchised dealership is preferred, with strong leadership demonstrated daily.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Sales Manager or senior desk manager experience at a franchised dealership.
• Luxury brand sales management experience preferred (Land Rover/Jaguar).
• High hospitality quotient and guest-centric approach.
• Confident at the desk with ability to structure deals quickly while preserving relationships.
• Strong CRM discipline and culture of follow-up and process accountability.
• Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred.
• Professional, polished communicator who earns trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the sales team daily — coaching consultants, running desking sessions, driving production across new and certified pre-owned.
• Desk deals with precision, urgency, and integrity — structuring transactions that work for guest and store.
• Manage floor coverage and guest experience from first contact through delivery.
• Monitor and hold the team against key metrics — units, gross per vehicle, closing ratio, lead response, CRM compliance.
• Partner with finance to ensure clean deal handoffs and a seamless guest experience.
• Support inventory management in coordination with the GSM — monitor turn, aging, lot positioning.
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding new sales consultants.
• Resolve escalated guest concerns with composure and a solution-first approach.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and develop the sales team daily -- coaching consultants, running structured desking sessions, and driving consistent production across new and certified pre-owned
• Desk deals with precision, urgency, and integrity -- structuring transactions that work for the guest and the store
• Manage floor coverage and the guest experience from first contact through delivery
• Monitor and hold the team accountable to key performance metrics -- units, gross per vehicle, closing ratio, lead response time, and CRM compliance
• Partner with finance to ensure clean deal handoffs and a seamless guest experience through the full purchase process
• Support inventory management in coordination with the GSM -- monitoring turn, aging, and lot positioning
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding new sales consultants
• Resolve escalated guest concerns with composure and a solution-first approach

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of Sales Manager or senior desk manager experience at a franchised dealership -- required
• Land Rover, Jaguar, or luxury brand sales management experience strongly preferred -- the JLR buyer profile, brand standards, and product knowledge are meaningful advantages in this market
• Demonstrates a high HQ (Hospitality Quotient) -- kindness and optimism, intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
• Confident at the desk -- able to structure deals quickly, accurately, and with the guest relationship intact
• Strong CRM discipline and the ability to build a culture of follow-up and process accountability on the floor
• Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred
• Professional, polished communicator who earns the trust of the team and the respect of the guest
