Job summary

RL Enterprise Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Sales Manager for our client in the steel and metal industry. The role covers the Southeast and focuses on new business development, key account management, and market expansion from Georgia through the Carolinas and Florida.

Candidates should have outside sales experience in steel or related manufacturing, strong presentation and negotiation skills, ability to travel and manage multi-state accounts, and be local to Savannah, GA or

RL Enterprise Recruiting & Staffing is hiring for our client, a growing leader within the steel and metal industry, seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive business development and territory growth across the Southeast region.

This is a high-impact role focused on developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, and expanding market presence within the metal and steel sectors.

Territory: Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and portions of Florida

Candidate should be local (or willing to relocate), and able to work in the Savannah, GA office every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow territory revenue
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the steel and metal markets
• Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers
• Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and business reviews
• Collaborate with internal operations and production teams to ensure customer satisfaction
• Track market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline activity
• Proven outside sales and business development experience within the steel, metal, or related manufacturing industries
• Strong knowledge of pre-engineering, cold forming, and cold pressed steel products
• Experience managing multi-state territories and large customer accounts
• Ability to build long-term client relationships and drive new revenue growth
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required based on industry experience

Preferred Background

• Experience selling into construction, manufacturing, or industrial markets
• Knowledge of structural steel or building product applications
• Existing industry relationships within the Southeast region highly preferred
