Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Reconcile deductions by matching Bills of Lading with invoices.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and support collections as needed.
• Align production and shipping schedules with Plant Manager and teams.
• Identify operational issues and develop backup plans to minimize delays.
• Support inventory/logistics transition from Bronx to Moonachie, NJ.

Our client, a growing food manufacturing company, is seeking a highly organized and analytical Logistics & Sales Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day logistics, order processing, inventory, and sales operations. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working cross‑functionally, solving problems, and keeping shipments, customers, and internal teams on track.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in logistics, sales operations, or supply chain, ideally within food, beverage, consumer products, or manufacturing. This person should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, on‑site environment and have strong Excel and analytical skills. Experience with freight bidding, customer portals, order processing, and accounts receivable is highly valued.

Compensation: ~65-70K; NJ-based with flexibility to work in the Bronx during the transition period

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily logistics and inventory operations to ensure customer orders are shipped on time and in full.
• Coordinate freight and continuously bid out deliveries to secure competitive shipping rates, with a particular focus on frozen shipments.
• Monitor customer portals and inventory levels to proactively identify potential stock‑outs and fulfillment issues.
• Process customer orders and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Reconcile customer deductions by accurately matching Bills of Lading (BOLs) with invoices.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and support collections activities as needed.
• Coordinate closely with the Plant Manager and Production/Warehouse teams to align production and shipping schedules.
• Proactively identify potential operational issues and develop backup plans to minimize delays.
• Support the transition of inventory and logistics operations from the Bronx facility to the company's new Moonachie, NJ facility.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure smooth communication across sales, production, warehouse, customers, and logistics partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, sales operations, supply chain, or a related operational role.
• Food & beverage manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, particularly around freight costs, inventory, and financial reconciliation.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and comfort working with customer portals and other business systems.
• Experience with order processing, shipping documentation, BOLs, invoices, or accounts receivable.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable troubleshooting issues in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong team‑player mentality with the ability to collaborate closely with production, warehouse, sales, and management teams.
• Comfortable working in an on‑site manufacturing environment.
• Ability to reliably commute between the Bronx and Moonachie, NJ during the transition period.

Compensation & Schedule

• Approximately $70,000 annually, based on experience.
• Full‑time, Monday–Friday.
• NJ-based following the company's facility transition, with flexibility to work from the Bronx during the transition period.
