Our client, a leading importer and marketer of premium food and beverage products, is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to support daily supply chain operations, logistics, and inventory control across its U.S. business.
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role working across multiple warehouse locations and third-party logistics partners. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Coordinator will play an important role in maintaining accurate real-time inventory data, coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, and ensuring inventory transactions are properly executed across SAP and external vendor systems.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Inventory Control
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics while providing day-to-day inventory control support.
- Oversee inbound/import operations in partnership with freight forwarders and third-party drayage carriers.
- Support logistics activities across multiple warehouse locations and third-party port/drayage operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inventory levels, transactions, and status.
- Identify, research, and correct inventory discrepancies within internal and vendor-hosted systems.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately executed and updated across internal systems and third-party platforms.
Order & Supply Chain Operations
- Coordinate customer order workflow to ensure timely and efficient service through appropriate planning and scheduling.
- Work closely with internal departments to understand and maintain accurate data flows across the organization.
- Utilize SAP, vendor portals, and other systems to maintain the integrity of real-time supply chain and inventory data.
- Support the Senior Manager of Supply Chain with ongoing operational priorities and projects.
- Prepare supply chain and inventory reports and perform ongoing analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, operational efficiency, and data accuracy.
- Evaluate opportunities for cost savings and improvements against inventory-related goals.
- Help ensure data integrity across internal and external supply chain systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics and inventory control within a Supply Chain environment.
- Hands-on experience working within a deeply integrated SAP environment across multiple internal and external business units.
- Experience with imported Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
- Understanding of inbound/import logistics, inventory management, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize daily activities and meet strict deadlines.
- Process-driven and detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to analyze information and make sound, independent decisions using business logic.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-service mindset with the ability to build effective relationships across internal teams and external partners.
- Team-oriented and comfortable working in a support-focused role while operating with partial autonomy.
