Job summary

HD Supply in the United States seeks a learning and development professional to design and develop employee learning programs aligned with organizational goals. You'll conduct assessments and analyses to identify development needs and recommend new training methods.

Responsibilities include managing design and delivery, collaborating with leadership, ensuring transfer of learning, maintaining SOPs and training materials, and delivering communications and templates for consistent instruction.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in sales learning delivery and meeting facilitation using varied adult learning methods.
• 2+ years of selling experience.
• Experience creating and delivering content for diverse audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent.

• Manages the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of learning programs. Tracks employee performance and measures training outcomes.
• Conducts needs analyses and translates business requirements into defined training needs. Determines the scope, audience, timing, delivery method, and resource requirements for trainings.
• Partners with leadership to identify process trends that support associates and drive organizational consistency.
• Works with associates and managers to ensure that learned knowledge and skills are transferred to the job.
• Reviews, edits, and maintains trainings, standard operating procedures, job aids, and other strategic tools and resources.
• Delivers learning communications, including monthly newsletters, process updates, and technology announcements.
• Creates development standards, processes, and templates to produce consistent and quality instructional materials.
• Participates in associate trainings as needed.

Nature and Scope

• Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
• Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
• May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.

Work Environment

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Education And Experience

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
