Job summary

West Marine is seeking a Sales Lead to drive store performance under supervision, coordinating operations, inventory, and high-level customer service. This role blends leadership with advanced selling skills to meet annual sales goals and enhance customer loyalty.

You will guide Crew Members, manage omni-fulfillment, training, and ensure compliance with safety standards while maintaining a welcoming, organized store environment including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Guide and develop Crew Members for excellent store operations and customer service.
• Lead by example, greeting and engaging customers to fulfill their boating needs.
• Effectively prioritize and plan to drive results and meet business goals.
• Train Crew Members to handle various transactions and provide exceptional service.
• Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing Crew Members.
• Manage Omni-Fulfillment operations.
• Assist in meeting annual sales and contribution goals.
• Oversee front-end activities, including greeting customers, processing transactions, and managing add-on sales.
• Provide high-level customer support with boating product expertise.
