Job summary

Build-A-Bear is seeking a Sales Lead / Floor Leader on Duty in Lafayette, LA to guide Bear Builders and deliver exceptional Guest service. This role blends leadership on designated shifts with hands-on Bear Builder duties, driving store sales goals and ensuring a memorable guest experience.

Responsibilities include mentoring associates, modeling Experience First behaviors, and maintaining brand standards while supporting a dynamic retail team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Availability to work 15-25 hours per week.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Associate’s (or higher) degree in business, management, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Be a role model to others, providing exceptional Guest service and guiding a team to meet sales goals.
• Direct a team of associates to ensure smooth store operations and achievement of sales targets.
• Model Experience First behaviors and provide feedback to management on performance and compliance issues.
• Engage Guests to deliver a warm, inclusive experience and ensure satisfaction with their visit.
• Uphold brand standards and operations for a cohesive Guest experience.
• Demonstrate teamwork, dependability, and willingness to support others’ success.
