Pay: $13.70 - $18.47 per hour

The Role:

A Visionworks Sr. Optical Specialist-Lead/Sales Lead is the face of our business, dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient and customer. This role requires training and knowledge about optics, our products/services, and managed vision care. The Sr. OS guides patients/customers through the Visionworks experience, ensuring their eyewear needs are met simply, humanly, and boldly. A Senior Optical Specialist has at least 12 months of prior optical industry experience.

The SR. OS maintains license requirements per state guidelines and dispenses eyewear where required and licensed.

  • Achieves daily sales goals while delivering an excellent Customer/Patient Experience
  • Engages with patients/customers, recommending products and services that meet their eye care needs
  • Measures patients/customers for eyewear and maintains product/optical knowledge through ongoing training, ensuring eyewear is Right the First Time. Troubleshoots eyewear needs as necessary
  • Supports store operations, including opening and closing, to meet financial and customer experience goals (leadership positions only)

Qualifications:

  • At least 12 months optical experience (within Visionworks or another organization) or ABO Certification in lieu of experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Maintain Optician License requirements per state guidelines, as needed
