Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana seeks a Sales Floor Manager to supervise daily operations, lead the store team, and drive revenue while maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.

You will open/close the store, balance cash, coach staff, and ensure a clean, safe, high-volume operation that reflects Goodwill's mission and values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Leadership, teambuilding, and mentoring experience preferred.
• Background in leading retail teams is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation and pass MVR; provide proof of valid license, insurance, registration, and inspection.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power BI and other programs.
• Read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Leads, supervises, and motivates store employees to ensure constant rotation of merchandise on the sales floor.
• Coaches, trains, develops, and leads the store team to support daily operations.
• Ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, customer-focused store environment with fresh product daily.
• Assists in receiving, pricing, and displaying merchandise.
• Opens/closes the store and handles cash, deposits, and end-of-day procedures.

Sales Floor Manager

Thesalesfloormanagerisresponsibleforsupervisingthesalesfloorleadsandsalesassociatesto generate revenue through the daily processing of donated goods. The sales floor manager drives the daily workflow of rotating and selling high volumes of donated clothing, furniture, and householdgoods.Thestorefloormanagersupportsthestoremanagerinoperatingahigh-volume retail operation to support the mission of Goodwill Industries of southeastern Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• 1. Leads,supervises,andmotivatesstoreemployeestoensureaconstantrotationand flow of merchandise to the sales floor daily.
• 2. Supportsstaffingtheretailstorebycoaching,training,developing,andleadingthe store team.
• 3. Ensurescompliancewithallsafetypoliciesandprocedures.
• 4. Creates and maintains a positive public image of Goodwill through a clean store environment,fulloffreshproductdaily,withafocusonexcellentcustomerservice.
• 5. Leadsandassistsinthereceiving,pricing,anddisplayingofstoremerchandise.

• 8. Performsalldutiesofallstorepersonnelincludingoperatingacashregister,weekly pulls, hanging new donations, cleaning of store, etc.
• 9. Tousethecashregisterfortotalsales,acceptpayment,authorizevoids,returns, exchanges and credits for merchandise only.
• 10. Toconducthourlyfloorcheckstoensureprocessedmerchandiseisproperlyplaced on the floor.
• 11. Conductsdailystorewalkthroughs,dailystoreteamhuddles,andregularstore meetings.
• 12. Responsibleforrevenueandexpensebudgetsandworkstoachieve/exceedbudgeted goals.
• 13. Toassistthestoremanagerincorrectivecoachingandtraininganddevelopmentof employees.
• 14. Assistsinschedulingemployeeswithafocusonadequatecoverageofstore operation.
• 15. Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,mopping,dusting,sweeping, and cleaning the bathrooms.
• 16. Allotherjob-relateddutiesasrequiredbymanagement.

Requirements

Working Conditions
