Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Sales Floor Manager to supervise the sales floor, drive daily workflows, and maximize revenue from donated goods. You will guide a high-volume retail team to maintain a thriving store, ensuring top-notch customer service and efficient handling of merchandise.

The role requires leadership, reliability, and the ability to train staff, while maintaining store standards and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Experience leading teams in retail or sales roles is preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and pass MVR; provide valid driver's license and insurance.
• Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel; familiarity with Power BI.
• Able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate store employees to ensure constant flow of merchandise.
• Coach, train, develop, and lead the store team to meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean store environment and excellent customer service.
• Oversee receiving, pricing, and display of merchandise; open/close store and handle cash.

Sales Floor Manager

Essential Functions:

Thesalesfloormanagerisresponsibleforsupervisingthesalesfloorleadsandsalesassociatesto generate revenue through the daily processing of donated goods. The sales floor manager drives the daily workflow of rotating and selling high volumes of donated clothing, furniture, and householdgoods.Thestorefloormanagersupportsthestoremanagerinoperatingahigh-volume retail operation to support the mission of Goodwill Industries of SouthEast Louisiana.

Responsibilities:

• Leads,supervises,andmotivatesstoreemployeestoensureaconstantrotationand flow of merchandise to the sales floor daily.
• Supportsstaffingtheretailstorebycoaching,training,developing,andleadingthe store team.
• Ensurescompliancewithallsafetypoliciesandprocedures.
• Creates and maintains a positive public image of Goodwill through a clean store environment,fulloffreshproductdaily,withafocusonexcellentcustomerservice.
• Leadsandassistsinthereceiving,pricing,anddisplayingofstore merchandise.
• Opens and closes the store. Balances cash registers and conduct end-of-day procedures.Responsibleforallcashinstore,includinginthesafe,pettycash, deposits, and cash registers.
• Maintainsacleanandhazardfreestorethroughdailymonitoringandcleaningofallareas.
• Performsalldutiesofallstorepersonnelincludingoperatingacashregister,weekly pulls, hanging new donations, cleaning of store, etc.
• Tousethecashregisterfortotalsales,acceptpayment,authorizevoids,returns, exchanges and credits for merchandise only.
• Toconducthourlyfloorcheckstoensureprocessedmerchandiseisproperlyplaced on the floor.
• Conductsdailystorewalkthroughs,dailystoreteamhuddles,andregularstoremeetings.
• Responsibleforrevenueandexpensebudgetsandworkstoachieve/exceedbudgetedgoals.
• Toassistthestoremanagerincorrectivecoachingandtraininganddevelopmentof employees.
• Assistsinschedulingemployeeswithafocusonadequatecoverageofstore operation.
• Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,mopping,dusting,sweeping, and cleaning the bathrooms.
• Allotherjob-relateddutiesasrequiredbymanagement.

Requirements:

• Highschooldiplomaorgeneraleducationdegree(GED)withaminimumof1yearof supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Leadership,teambuilding,andmentoringexperienceand/ortrainingexperience preferred.
• Preferabackgroundinleadingteamsin retailsalesorothersalesexperience.
• Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to pass MVR check and provideproof ofavaliddriver’slicense,liabilityinsurance,vehicleregistrationandacurrentvehicle inspection sticker.
• MustbeproficientincomputerskillsincludingMicrosoftOffice,Outlook,Word, Excel, Power BI and other programs.
• Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyin English.

Working Conditions:

Frequentphysicalexertion,frequentmovement,conditionedindoortemperatureswithoccasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions, occasional travel in district area.
