Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana seeks a Sales Floor Manager to supervise daily processing and merchandising activities, driving revenue through high-volume donations and sales. You will lead the team, ensure great customer service, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, supervisory experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Flexible schedule including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with insurance and vehicle inspection.
• Proficient in computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power BI and other programs.
• Able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise sales floor leads and associates to ensure continuous flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Coach, train, develop, and lead the store team to meet daily revenue goals.
• Open and close the store; balance cash registers and conduct end-of-day procedures.

Sales Floor Manager

Essential Functions: Responsibilities:

Thesalesfloormanagerisresponsibleforsupervisingthesalesfloorleadsandsalesassociatesto generate revenue through the daily processing of donated goods. The sales floor manager drives the daily workflow of rotating and selling high volumes of donated clothing, furniture, and householdgoods.Thestorefloormanagersupportsthestoremanagerinoperatingahigh-volume retail operation to support the mission of Goodwill Industries of Southeast Louisiana.

• Leads,supervises,andmotivatesstoreemployeestoensureaconstantrotationand flow of merchandise to the sales floor daily.
• Supportsstaffingtheretailstorebycoaching,training,developing,andleadingthe store team.
• Ensurescompliancewithallsafetypoliciesandprocedures.
• Creates and maintains a positive public image of Goodwill through a clean store environment,fulloffreshproductdaily,withafocusonexcellentcustomerservice.
• Leadsandassistsinthereceiving,pricing,anddisplayingofstore merchandise.
• Opens and closes the store. Balances cash registers and conduct end-of-day procedures.Responsibleforallcashinstore,includinginthesafe,pettycash, deposits, and cash registers.
• Maintainsacleanandhazardfreestorethroughdailymonitoringandcleaningofall areas.
• Performsalldutiesofallstorepersonnelincludingoperatingacashregister,weekly pulls, hanging new donations, cleaning of store, etc.
• Tousethecashregisterfortotalsales,acceptpayment,authorizevoids,returns, exchanges and credits for merchandise only.
• Toconducthourlyfloorcheckstoensureprocessedmerchandiseisproperlyplaced on the floor.
• Conductsdailystorewalkthroughs,dailystoreteamhuddles,andregularstore meetings.
• Responsibleforrevenueandexpensebudgetsandworkstoachieve/exceedbudgeted goals.
• Toassistthestoremanagerincorrectivecoachingandtraininganddevelopmentof employees.
• Assistsinschedulingemployeeswithafocusonadequatecoverageofstore operation.
• Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardbyvacuuming,mopping,dusting,sweeping, and cleaning the bathrooms.
• Allotherjob-relateddutiesasrequiredbymanagement.

Requirements:

• Preferabackgroundinleadingteamsin retailsalesorothersalesexperience.
• Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to pass MVR check and provideproof ofavaliddriver’slicense,liabilityinsurance,vehicleregistrationandacurrentvehicle inspection sticker.
• Must be proficient incomputerskillsincludingMicrosoftOffice,Outlook,Word, Excel, Power BI and other programs.
• Mustbe able to read,writeandcommunicateclearlyin English.

Working Conditions:

Frequentphysicalexertion,frequentmovement,conditionedindoortemperatureswithoccasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions, occasional travel in district area.
