Job description

The State Market Sales Executive is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales quotas for Tyler software products and services within a designated territory. The role involves collaborating closely with Tyler Sales Leadership to develop both short-term and long-term sales and revenue strategies.

Little Rock, Arkansas | Jackson, Mississippi

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for the geographic territory and specific products/services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with targeted audiences to promote and sell products/services.
  • Generate sales within the assigned region and for specific products/services, targeting new prospects.
  • Manage complex sales cycles from lead generation to closing the sale.
  • Negotiate initial sales contracts.
  • Travel to customer locations, trade shows, and conduct on-site demonstrations.
  • Assist in preparing RFP responses.
  • Meet pre-set annual sales quotas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years experience selling software products and services.
  • Experience with sales CRM required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with C-Level officials such as governors, agency heads, and CIOs.
  • Proven skills in needs analysis and developing successful action plans.
  • Results-driven with a competitive spirit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills; public speaking experience is a plus.
  • Self-motivated team player.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and general computer literacy.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
