The role is focused on developing new business opportunities across JUMP’s sports, lodging, events, performance, and recreational services while building strong client relationships and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate is proactive, commercially driven, and confident taking ownership of sales priorities, evaluating opportunities, and recommending strategies that support sustainable business growth.

This position combines on-site sales activity with external business development and includes an incentive plan tied to eligible sales performance and business results, in accordance with JUMP’s established program. It is well suited for a professional who enjoys building partnerships, developing new markets, expanding JUMP’s reach, and converting opportunities into measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day sales activities across JUMP Sports Development Center’s products and services.
  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities, including facility rentals, lodging, tournaments, leagues, camps, clinics, training programs, birthday packages, meetings, and events.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, client visits, community outreach, and inbound inquiries.
  • Develop business relationships with schools, universities, sports organizations, corporations, municipalities, athletic teams, event organizers, travel groups, and other organizations.
  • Build, maintain, and manage an active sales pipeline and prioritize opportunities based on revenue potential and timing.
  • Assess client needs and recommend appropriate JUMP services, packages, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain key accounts, partnerships, and long-term client relationships.
  • Conduct sales presentations, facility tours, client meetings, prospect visits, and external business-development activities.
  • Prepare customized proposals and service packages based on client needs, facility capabilities, and approved pricing parameters.
  • Negotiate business terms within established authority and elevate matters requiring management approval.
  • Evaluate sales opportunities, commercial risks, pricing options, service combinations, and partnership opportunities.
  • Recommend pricing strategies, promotions, packages, target markets, and business-development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, client communications, proposals, negotiations, agreements, and closed business.
  • Monitor sales activity, pipeline movement, conversion trends, account performance, and revenue opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and commercial recommendations for management.
  • Coordinate contracts, deposits, client requirements, and sales documentation before operational handoff.
  • Coordinate confirmed business with Operations, Sports, Lodging, Front Desk, Accounting, Facilities/Maintenance, and other departments.
  • Evaluate facility availability, capacity, scheduling, operational limitations, and service feasibility before making client commitments.
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact throughout the sales and contracting process.
  • Support marketing and promotional initiatives by providing feedback on client demand, market opportunities, and service positioning.
  • Conduct external sales meetings, networking activities, prospect visits, industry events, and community outreach throughout Puerto Rico.
  • Maintain current knowledge of JUMP’s services, facility capabilities, pricing, policies, availability, and promotional programs.
  • Operate within established company authority regarding discounts, credits, complimentary services, refunds, legal terms, and financial commitments.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Hospitality, Sports Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible experience in sales, business development, account management, hospitality sales, sports sales, group sales, or a related revenue-generating function preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate business opportunities, manage a sales pipeline, prepare commercial proposals, negotiate within established authority, and develop long-term client relationships.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand pricing, revenue opportunities, facility utilization, client requirements, and the operational impact of proposed commitments.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills; bilingual English and Spanish communication skills strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to independently manage multiple clients, proposals, deadlines, contracts, and active opportunities simultaneously.
