Job summary

The Timken Company is seeking engineers for the Sales Engineering Development Program. It combines technical training with customer-facing experience to develop future sales engineers.

Starts with a comprehensive 6-month training program at our Corporate Headquarters in North Canton, Ohio. Upon completion, you are placed into a US sales office or territory, managing a portfolio of customers and traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• College graduate (December 2026 - May 2027).
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
• Engineering internships/co-ops preferred.
• Leadership experience demonstrated in academic or extra-curricular activities, or during employment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• 6-month training program based in North Canton, OH, exposing you to Timken’s businesses and value selling.
• After training, placed into a US sales office or territory to manage customer relationships.
• Independently manage an OE/distributor/end-user portfolio leveraging technical and commercial skills.
• Build strong relationships to succeed; travel within your territory as needed.
• Apply your engineering knowledge to solve customer challenges with Timken capabilities.
