Position Overview:

This is a business-to-business inside sales and product specialist position. The Sales Representative develops and manages relationships with our clients and prospects. The individual is responsible for achieving specified sales targets, following up on orders, and prospecting and developing sales towards industries such as life science, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, aerospace, and academic sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure client retention via responsive and proactive account management support.
  • Develop knowledge and thorough understanding of all products and services, and apply knowledge to provide appropriate recommendations/solutions that meet client's business requirements.
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships in major functional areas of the customer organization. Utilize the relationships to develop strong revenue growth initiatives.
  • Manage renewal sales process for existing customer base, including setting of expectations, changing needs assessments, negotiating contracts, and processing of contracts via relevant internal systems.
  • Follow up on all inbound client inquiries to uncover new and expanding sales opportunities.
  • Maintain consistent and ongoing contact with end-users and decision-makers.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required. Science degree (Engineering, Chemistry, Biology). A copy of transcripts and diploma will be requested as part of the job application.
  • 1 year of sales or customer service experience.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and all levels of personnel professionally and effectively.
  • Must possess organizational, analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to perform simple algebra/calculations.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Basic skills in negotiating with clients.
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have the right to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer.

Salary, Commission:

  • Salary depends on experience/qualifications.
  • Monthly and yearly commission paid to the Sales Associates based on metrics such as hitting individual and team sales goals.

Benefits:

  • Company-subsidized affordable health/dental/vision plans.
  • Annually, the company provides one week of paid vacation, one week of sick leave (which may be added to vacation time), two floating holidays, and 10 paid holidays. Staff members become eligible for these benefits after twelve months of employment.
