Role Overview

The Sales Engineer (SE) is a technical sales support position responsible for pre-sales engagement with current and prospective clients. The role requires a strong technical leader who understands how decisions impact the customer’s bottom line and drives revenue for Commvault.

The SE must be seen as a trusted advisor at all levels within an account (C-Suite, technical partners, etc.), as well as a team leader, mentor, and contributor to overall success. The SE supports complex sales opportunities by translating business requirements into technical solutions, coordinating technical expertise, defining delivery and deployment strategies, and supporting internal deal acceptance.

Minimum Requirements
  • Located in Oklahoma, Tulsa area preferred, or willing to relocate
  • 5+ years in the software or storage industry; 3+ years in a pre-sales sales engineer role
  • Experience with enterprise data management solutions (backup, recovery, migration, etc.)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as storage, servers, networking, cloud, hyper-convergence
  • Proven ability to manage major accounts and work independently
  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Willing to travel up to 50%
