Job summary

DELO Industrie Klebstoffe GmbH is seeking a technically skilled sales professional in the Greater Sudbury area to identify new opportunities and extend the customer base. You will design complex adhesive solutions and collaborate with engineers in the US and Germany, delivering start-up projects and ongoing support.

Travel is required to engage customers and training will be provided in Germany. The role offers flexible working hours with home office options and a comprehensive onboarding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• At least 5 years in a technical corporate environment.
• Minimum 2 years in customer support; sales experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for customer engagements and trainings.
• Able to solve complex technical problems; training in Germany provided.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to grow the customer base.
• Design and develop complex adhesive and processing solutions for multiple industries.
• Collaborate with US and German executives and engineering teams.
• Provide start-up project development and ongoing customer support.
• Manage internal and external projects and project controls.
• Establish and expand the local sales network.
• Represent DELO at trade shows and industry events.

Your Tasks

• Search for new sales opportunities and extend our customer base by customer acquisition activities
• Design and develop complex technical adhesive and processing solutions in multiple high tech industries
• Collaborate with executives and the Engineering team in the US as well as in Germany
• Provide start up project development and on going customer support
• Internal and external project management and control
• Set up local sales network
• Visit and represent DELO at various trade shows

Your Skills

• You are located in the Greater Sudbury Area
• Degree in Engineering, i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Science, Physical Engineering, or similar technical areas (Bachelor’s required, Master welcome)
• At least 5 years of experience in a technical corporate environment
• A minimum of 2 years of customer support – sales experience is desirable
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
• Prior expertise in adhesives is not required as you will get intensive and exciting training in Germany
• Willingness to travel
