Job summary

DELO Industrial Adhesives in the United States is seeking a Project Leader to drive the technical implementation of adhesive solutions for a key consumer electronics account. You will lead cross-functional activities and ensure alignment with customer needs.

Based near the Greater San Jose area, you will collaborate with DELO teams in Germany and other subsidiaries, travel as needed, and build process know-how to support the customer and regional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Bachelor’s required, Master welcome)
• At least 3 years in a technical corporate environment – preferably in adhesives or related industries
• Willingness to travel
• Located in Greater San Jose Area, CA
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems

Responsibilities

• Lead as Project Leader for technical implementation of adhesive projects at a key consumer electronics account
• Analyze customer needs and determine technical and process-related requirements
• Coordinate daily with DELO HQ in Germany and subsidiaries for project progress
• Build application-specific process know-how and support the customer contract manufacturer
• Proactively guide colleagues in other sales regions for these projects
• Track technical trends relevant to the key account and discuss with experts
• Provide feedback to and work with the Global Key Account Manager

Job description

After extensive training, you will take over the following tasks

• Working as Project Leader for the technical implementation of projects at the key account in the consumer electronic industry by developing and providing adhesive solutions
• analyze customer needs and determining technical and process-related requirements
• Continuous and frequent/ daily, project-related coordination with the customer and the technical departments at DELO headquarters in Germany and subsidiaries (Technology Center, Process Management, Product Management and Research & Development) as
• Building up application-specific process know-how and support the customer Contract manufacturer to implement the process
• Proactively guide and coordinate participating colleagues in other sales regions for these projects
• Tracking and identifying technical trends relevant to the specific key account and deriving possible fields of application (trend scouting). Exchange with experts to gain technical information on future trends or running projects (road map meetings)
• Providing feedback to and work in close cooperation with the Global Key Account Manager

• Degree in Engineering, i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering or similar technical areas (Bachelor’s required, Master welcome

• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
• Prior expertise in adhesives is not required as you will get intensive and exciting training in Germany
