Job summary

Stored Energy Systems (SENS) in Longmont, CO is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our channel and enterprise sales teams to advance our power products and systems. You will translate customer challenges into engineered solutions, collaborating with engineering and sales to design and present the right configuration.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering background, 3+ years in a customer-facing or sales role, and willingness to travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a customer-facing role or sales environment.
• Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to travel up to 40% for client meetings, trade shows, and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of SENS’ products/systems including several case studies.
• Participate in Customer Discovery calls.
• Fully understand customer business and technical challenges.
• Specify the best solution to solve customer problems.
• Collaborate with engineers and product development teams to create customized or highly configured solutions that meet client specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure that proposed solutions align with client requirements and company capabilities.
• Conduct product demonstrations, webinars, and training sessions to educate customers and foster long-term partnerships.
• Assist Sales teams in presenting solutions and answering technical questions.
• Act as a liaison between SENS Sales team and Product Engineering team to ensure alignment and that engineered solutions are properly understood and presented by the sales teams.
