Job summary

Bruker Alicona in Itasca, IL seeks a Sales Engineer to drive growth in the West territory, develop product knowledge, and manage high-end capital equipment sales. You will account-manage, present solutions, and coordinate with technical teams across regions.

Onboarding includes extensive training in Austria, ongoing education, and frequent trade-show participation. Regular travel from the US office is required; fluency in English and strong negotiation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Sales-driven with commitment to growing accounts and meeting growth opportunities.
• Proficient with CRM to document all customer activity and manage leads.
• Prior sales experience with high-end capital equipment preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly; valid driver’s license and own car.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of Bruker Alicona products and applications through training and onboarding at our Austria headquarters.
• Improve customer experience by identifying needs and providing effective solutions.
• Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers and scheduling sales calls.
• Utilize CRM to generate and manage leads, opportunities, quotes, orders and appointments.
• Prepare quotes by studying customer requirements and coordinating with purchasing and technical teams.
• Achieve sales goals and monthly KPIs; contribute to team results.
• Participate in trade shows and conferences as appropriate.
• Travel regularly from the US office; communicate customer problems to relevant teams.
• Maintain knowledge of product applications, market conditions and competitive activities.
