Job summary

Vanderlande Industries, based in Marietta, GA, is seeking a resourceful Sales Engineer for Brownfield Solutions (RMR) to help customers optimize existing warehouse automation systems through modernization, retrofits, and capacity improvements.

In this fast-paced role, you will develop technical solutions, design layouts in AutoCAD/Navisworks, collaborate across functions, engage customers, and support multi-million-dollar projects across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in sales engineering, system design, project engineering, solution development, or estimating.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to navigate AutoCAD and Navisworks 3D environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with modernization, retrofit, expansion, upgrade, or capital projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative technical solutions by analyzing requirements for modernization, expansion, and optimization.
• Design and optimize system layouts in AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Work cross-functionally with teams to develop competitive, executable solutions.
• Engage directly with customers to understand requirements and present solutions.
• Lead technical reviews and risk assessments to ensure feasibility and compliance.
• Support project handover with clear documentation and assistance to execution teams.
• Interpret RFPs and technical specifications to develop compliant solutions.
• Develop project cost estimates using historical data, vendor quotes, and SME input.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives with cost analysis and standardization.
• Support business growth by driving solution approaches in North America.
