In this hybrid, field-based role you will manage customer relationships, present technical recommendations, prepare pricing and quotes, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to address requirements and accelerate revenue

Design Hire is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive business development, technical sales, and market growth throughout Central Pennsylvania. This position focuses on adhesive products and solutions, combining technical expertise with customer relationship management, competitive pricing, and territory development. The ideal candidate is a technically proficient sales professional who enjoys working directly with customers, identifying new opportunities, and expanding product visibility within the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities and expanding market coverage throughout the assigned territory.
  
• Provide technical sales support, product recommendations, and application guidance for adhesive products and solutions.
  
• Prepare pricing proposals, quotations, and commercial recommendations while maintaining competitive positioning and profitability.
  
• Increase product visibility through customer visits, field demonstrations, presentations, and ongoing market development activities.
  
• Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and sales teams to address customer requirements, resolve technical challenges, and support revenue growth.
  

Qualifications

• Experience in sales engineering, technical sales, account management, or business development within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  
• Knowledge of adhesives, bonding technologies, or related industrial materials and applications strongly preferred.
  
• Strong technical competency with the ability to understand product specifications, applications, and customer requirements.
  
• Experience developing pricing strategies, preparing quotations, and negotiating commercial agreements.
  
• Demonstrated ability to expand territory coverage, increase product awareness, and develop new customer relationships.
  
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid, field-based position with regular customer visits and regional travel.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
