Job Description: Sales Engineer (Remote - Northeast US)

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Sales Engineer focused on Articulated Arms and 3D Scanners for the Northeast US region. This is a remote position, ideally based in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont.

Role Overview

The Sales Engineer P3 will act as a technical advisor and solution consultant for prospective and existing customers, focusing on articulated arm products. The role involves providing pre-sales support, demonstrations, and post-sales guidance remotely across the Northeast US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver product demonstrations and communicate technical advantages of articulated arms and 3D scanning solutions.
  • Support sales teams with technical expertise during pre-sales activities.
  • Work with marketing and engineering teams to develop customer-specific solutions.
  • Train distributors and customers on deployment and usage of articulated arms.
  • Conduct industry research and competitive analysis.
  • Coordinate post-sale support with service teams.
  • Participate in tradeshows and industry events.
  • Maintain activity reports in CRM systems.
  • Engage in ongoing technical training and learning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 5+ years in technical sales or application engineering, preferably in industrial metrology.
  • Strong knowledge of articulated arms and 3D measurement systems.
  • Proven success in customer-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time remotely.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within the Northeast US.
  • Familiarity with software such as PC-DMIS, Inspire, Recreate, Bending Studio, Spatial Analyzer, GeoMagic, V-Tube, PolyWorks, Metrolog X4, or similar is a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Operate computers and office equipment regularly.
  • Communicate frequently with customers and colleagues.
  • Lift demo equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Travel frequently by car and air.
  • Work from a remote/home office setup.
  • Travel to customer sites, events, and Hexagon offices as needed.
