Our equipment and software provide innovative and integrated metalworking solutions to improve production processes and advance the Smart Factory.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and enthusiastic outside Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a background in capital equipment sales, preferably with experience in the sheet metal machinery industry. This role requires a highly organized individual who is independent and possesses a “hunter” mindset. The position will require travel throughout the territory, to meet with clients and prospects.

Open positions
  • New England Territory – can be located in CT, MA, RI, NH, VT or ME
  • Mid-Atlantic Territory – can be located in PA, NJ, or MD
  • Mid-West Territory – can be located in IN or MI
Key Responsibilities
  • Play a crucial role in the organized development of the assigned sales territory.
  • Acquire and develop new customers and markets, as well as nurture repeat sales to existing customers.
Sales and Business Development
  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the assigned territory via cold calls, inbound leads and external marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct product presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Work with the National Sales Manager to negotiate and close sales orders ensuring profitable outcomes for the company.
  • Travel within the assigned territory to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in trade shows.
  • International travel to LVD Head Office in Belgium may be required for company events and customer presentations.
Technical Expertise
  • Understand customer requirements through in‑person site visits and after‑visit recap meetings with internal Product Managers to define customer‑specific solutions.
  • Skilled in identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate equipment solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience with various types of capital equipment, including but not limited to CNC fiber laser cutting machines, press brakes, punch presses, shearing machines, and automated material handling systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to address customer requirements and resolve issues.
Organizational Skills
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using Salesforce CRM software.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis as directed by supervisor.
  • Remain organized and manage time effectively to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain and provide timely documentation of expense reports and lost business records.
Qualifications
  • Two (2) year degree or professional qualification in engineering or applied sciences; four (4) year degreed preferred in engineering, business or technical discipline.
  • Required experience in machine tools, heavy equipment, capital equipment sales or a related industry.
  • Preferred experience in sheet metal machinery.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong technical knowledge of capital equipment with the ability and desire to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑up.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 75% of the time).
  • Knowledge of territory regarding geography, industry and prospective clients within it.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
