Sales Engagement & Development Manager | 100% Remote (WFH) Opportunity

General Summary

The Field Engagement and Development Manager assumes a leadership role in training and development of EMPLOYERS sales staff, as well as all sales-related field engagement activities, both internal and external. This position works in conjunction with senior leaders to achieve profitable growth by driving sustainable sales behaviors and strategies, as well as supporting agency loyalty and feedback programs. This role is responsible for driving and implementing best practices across a nationwide sales organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Models, instructs, and coaches both new and tenured employees on the current sales methodology, which continually improves sales results, customer service, and product knowledge.
  • Provides instruction and coaching using adult learning principles.
  • Uses presentation platform/facilitation skills to command an audience and effectively provide directions to sales representatives (one-on-one or in groups) to achieve the positive response required.
  • Provides field consultation, team and/or individual coaching and development, enabling hands-on learning/development support to the assigned employee/management groups.
  • Works collaboratively with Sales Management/Corporate Organizational Development and Underwriting to identify, recommend, and implement new, creative, innovative learning and development offerings, techniques, and applications.
  • Own Sales training and development relationships with 3rd party vendors and resources
  • Own internal and external field engagement and development events and activities, including internal and external meetings.
  • Lead in coaching/collaborating with others in building meeting planning and execution as a strong competency for EMPLOYERS.
  • Develop other team members in creating tools and templates to help improve our ability to continually improve in our efficiency and effectiveness in creating a memorable experience.
  • Owns and executes all internal training and coaching events.
  • Creates and executes agency engagement strategy to enhance agency loyalty and depth of relationship, including ownership of local and national agency advisory councils.
  • Elevate the agency and policyholder customer experience with EMPLOYERS by conducting ongoing, high-quality agency and policyholder training sessions to promote our agency and/or policyholder portal, new services, products, etc.
  • Drives build out and engagement of SharePoint resources for Sales Operations branded content, as well as understanding of other valuable internal ENET resources.
  • Work as a project lead or subject matter expert as needed for sales or corporate initiatives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements: Background and Experience/Expertise
  • Five years of insurance industry experience.
  • Experience with training methodologies and coaching/mentoring experience.
  • Experience in organizing and running efficient and effective group meetings from logistics to content creation and delivery.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid state driver's license and good driving record.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • This focused and goal-oriented position requires someone who possesses sales skills and who can influence others through negotiation techniques.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and represent the Company professionally, both internally and externally.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Work Environment:
  • Remote: This role is a remote (work from home (WFH) opportunity, and only open to candidates currently located in the United States and able to work without sponsorship.
  • It requires a suitable space that provides a private and quiet workplace.
  • Expected Work Hours: Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
  • Travel: May be required to travel to off-site location(s) to attend meetings, as necessary
