Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a customer-focused teller with strong sales acumen to deliver personalized service and meet branch goals. You will process routine banking transactions, open accounts, and promote Bank products to customers in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in direct customer service, cash handling, and a track record in retail banking sales. Bilingual English and Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a direct customer service capacity, with 1-year cash handling preferred.
• Experience in sales in a retail banking environment preferred.
• Bilingual English and Cantonese or Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist in selecting products and services.
• Balance cash drawer and manage daily cash handling and loss prevention.
• Outbound calls to promote Bank, Wealth and NEST products and services.
• Meet sales and referral goals for Bank products and digital offerings.
• Proactively sell Bank products to deepen customer relationships.
• Identify sales opportunities for Debit/Credit Cards and Wealth services.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and teller transactions.
• Provide notary services if licensed and assist with branch operations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and policies.
