Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a customer-focused Teller in New York to accurately process routine financial transactions and contribute to growth and customer retention. You will greet customers, handle deposits and payments, and promote banking products while delivering high-quality service.

Strong interpersonal skills, basic math, and computer literacy are essential, with experience in cash handling and sales. Flexible schedules and potential supervisory duties may apply as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in direct customer service; 1 year cash handling preferred.
• Sales experience in retail banking preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Cantonese or Mandarin preferred.
• Ability to learn bank software and operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide personalized service.
• Balance and prove cash drawer; handle deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
• Make outbound calls to promote Bank, Wealth and digital products.
• Meet sales and referral goals for products.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell debit/credit cards and other services.
• Provide notary services if licensed.
• Assist with branch operations and be prepared to supervise as needed.
