Job summary

Cavender's is seeking an experienced Department Manager to join our Store Management Team in Houston. You will coach sales associates, supervise tasks, and help drive department and store sales while upholding company standards and a safe, organized environment.

You will stay actively involved in selling, lead training, and ensure the department meets performance targets, payroll goals, and customer satisfaction metrics.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to sell product and manage a retail department.
• Drive results, develop talent, deliver strong customer service, and make sound decisions.
• Read English and understand basic instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise store department to meet sales goals and control labor and expenses.
• Coach associates on sales techniques, product knowledge, and company standards.
• Open/close duties and assign tasks to ensure Best of the West customer service.
• Monitor timecard accuracy and address staff issues promptly.
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentation per visual standards.
