Job summary

Storm4 is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to lead strategic OEM account growth in power management and electrical infrastructure sectors. You will identify new opportunities, build executive-level relationships with leaders at manufacturers such as Schneider Electric, Eaton, ABB, Vertiv, Siemens, Legrand, Panduit, and Rittal, and drive long-term contracts and revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience selling engineered components and power distribution products into OEM customers.
  • Experience with major OEMs: Schneider Electric, Eaton, ABB, Vertiv, Siemens, Legrand, Panduit, Rittal.
  • Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, critical power, data centers, or OEM manufacturing.
  • Track record of winning new business and developing strategic customer relationships.
  • Navigate complex OEM sales cycles involving engineering, procurement, sourcing, operations, and executives.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for customer development.
  • Existing network across power management/electrical infrastructure/datacenter ecosystem.
  • Experience selling to OEM manufacturers of switchgear, UPS, PDUs, power distribution components.
  • Familiarity with custom manufacturing, sheet metal, busbar systems, or power distribution components.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact business development leadership role focused on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities with leading power management and electrical infrastructure OEMs.

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing relationships and growing revenue with key customers including Schneider Electric, Eaton, ABB, Vertiv, Siemens, Legrand, Panduit, Rittal, and other major players across the critical power and electrical equipment markets.

You'll work closely with engineering, operations, and executive leadership teams to position the company's manufacturing and engineering capabilities within new customer programs, helping establish long-term strategic partnerships with some of the industry's most influential organizations.

This role is ideally suited to someone who understands how to navigate complex OEM environments, engage stakeholders across engineering, procurement, sourcing, and operations, and successfully drive specification wins resulting in long-term production revenue.

  • Drive new business development activities across power management, electrical infrastructure, and critical power OEMs.
  • Develop and execute account penetration strategies targeting organizations such as Schneider Electric, Eaton, ABB, Vertiv, Siemens, Legrand, Panduit, Rittal, and similar manufacturers.
  • Identify opportunities for engineered components, power distribution products, busway systems, busbar assemblies, electrical enclosures, thermal management solutions, and custom manufacturing services.
  • Build executive-level relationships across engineering, procurement, sourcing, operations, manufacturing, and product management teams.
  • Develop customer-specific growth strategies and lead complex technical and commercial discussions.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and manufacturing teams to create solutions aligned to customer requirements.
  • Lead contract negotiations, commercial discussions, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, customer investment plans, competitive activity, and emerging technologies.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, executive reviews, trade shows, and key industry events.
Required Experience
  • Proven experience selling engineered components, electrical assemblies, power distribution products, busway systems, busbar solutions, electrical enclosures, thermal management products, or manufacturing solutions into OEM customers.
  • Demonstrated success developing business with major power management and electrical infrastructure OEMs including Schneider Electric, Eaton, ABB, Vertiv, Siemens, Legrand, Panduit, Rittal, or similar organizations.
  • Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, critical power, data center, industrial automation, or OEM manufacturing markets.
  • Track record of winning new business and developing strategic customer relationships.
  • Experience navigating complex OEM sales cycles involving engineering, procurement, sourcing, operations, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to support customer development activities.
  • Existing network across the power management, electrical infrastructure, critical power, or data center ecosystem.
  • Experience selling into OEM manufacturers of switchgear, UPS, PDUs, power distribution, electrical equipment, or data center infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with custom manufacturing, precision fabrication, sheet metal assemblies, electrical assemblies, electromechanical products, busbar systems, or power distribution components.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, mission-critical, industrial, or data center projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of business development, strategic sales, or OEM account acquisition experience.
