Reports to: SVP Sales Vertical Streaming Security
Position Summary
The Sales Development Director will be a candidate with 5-10 years experience selling into the Streaming companies, Telco, ISP, content owners and experienced in selling value based services and security solutions. The Sales Director will have a track record of developing new accounts, creating a strong candidate list of leads and managing complex relationships
Responsibilities
- The general responsibility is to develop NAGRAVISION security business with new customers and markets in the United States & Latin America with Content providers, Sports leagues, Streaming companies, ISPs and Telco’s.
- Identify new opportunities and implement sales strategy through detailed account planning
- Develop maximum understanding of customers’ business plans and technology needs as they relate to NAGRAVISION products & solutions
- Analyze Operator ecosystems, including but not limited to Streamers, Telco’s, cable network operators, device vendors and system integrators, with the aim to identify and deliver new business opportunities to rapidly grow the NAGRAVISION business in the territory. Develop entry point for each type of Account based on Nagravision Product & Services based on customized value propositions.
- Negotiate general contracts and pricing/payment terms for NAGRAVISION security solutions in customer account(s)
- Ensure that legal and ethical standards of NAGRAVISION are fully applied within the assigned territory.
- Ensure that both regional and global resources (legal teams, solution experts, regional business development, senior management etc.) are appropriately utilized to maximize customer account opportunities and/or manage issues.
- Work with Product Units and Product-Line Management teams to define product requirements based on customer and market requirements
- Understand short and long term regulatory policies, as well as market & industry developments to help NAGRAVISION position itself to gain maximum advantage/minimize risks in the local market
- Clear and excellent communication across the matrix organization
- Establish and maintain close personal contact with key stakeholders and employees at all hierarchical levels customer account(s) via frequent and in-depth visits/consultations
- Maintain and monitor KPIs: win/loss ratio, % of deals advancing by stage, share of Client Wallet.
Requirements/Profile
- 5-10 years sales and business development experience with a proven track record of success in an international, multi-cultural business environment.
- Contacts and business experience within the United States & LatAm
- Knowledge of current players in the industry and profound understanding of industry dynamics and trends.
- Preferred experience working with the Content Owners and Media Companies (including but not limited to Netflix, Disney/ESPN, Discovery/TW, Comcast NBC, Fox, Amazon Prime, NFL, NBA, MLB). Technology companies, AWS, Google, Microsoft and OpenAI. Need to have sold to a mix of these Accounts.
- Adaptability, creativity & agility to build out a go to market (GTM) plan
- Knowledge of security services and solutions in the digital TV/broadband environment is a plus
- Demonstrated achievement in sales and new client development. Relationship and Strategic Selling background. Demonstrated achievement of selling on value (revenue/margin for the end client) and not only technical features.
- Comfortable selling inside client buying centers, including technology, operations , marketing, product and customer experience (CX) teams.
- Strong presentation skills; ability to tailor presentation and content of solutions to executive and business focused audiences, as well as technical professionals.
- Demonstrates an executive presence via clear communication and implementation of win-win strategies.
- Self starter with an exceptional desire to build and win.
- Some travel will be required
- Remote or Phoenix hybrid (preferred)
