Who are we hiring (and what will they do)?
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative I (SDR I) to join our team. This role is a strong fit for a sales development professional with an average of 1–2+ years of SDR, BDR, sales, or related experience who has demonstrated the ability to independently manage prospecting activities and consistently generate qualified pipeline.
As a successful Sales Development Representative I (SDR I), you will:
- Independently conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social platforms using established messaging, scripts, and sequences.
- Respond to inbound leads and qualify prospects by understanding business needs, identifying pain points, and assessing overall fit.
- Accurately log all activities, notes, and outcomes in Salesforce and other CRM systems.
- Conduct account and contact research to identify relevant prospects, potential CTM use cases, and opportunities for outreach.
- Consistently meet daily and weekly activity and pipeline expectations, including calls, emails, touches, and follow‑up tasks.
- Partner with Account Executives, Enterprise, and Partnerships to support territory strategy, pipeline development, and effective handoffs.
- Develop strong working knowledge of the CTM platform, key verticals, and common customer use cases by participating in training, staying informed on product updates, and understanding how CTM addresses customer needs.
- Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives and provide relevant prospect information to support effective handoffs and meeting quality.
- Apply coaching and feedback independently to improve prospecting, communication, qualification, and objection‑handling skills.
- Serve as an initial point of contact for prospects and independently build positive, professional relationships through email, phone, video meetings, networking events, and thoughtful follow‑up.
- Work with Marketing to share customer feedback, prospect insights, and market trends that can improve targeting, messaging, and lead generation.
- Use Salesforce, Google Sheets, and other sales tools to support prospecting, lead management, reporting, and pipeline visibility.
- Demonstrate CTM’s values in all interactions with prospects, customers, and internal team members.
What skills will help you be effective on our team?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
- 1–2+ years of SDR, BDR, sales, or related experience, preferably in SaaS or another technology‑focused environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work independently while remaining collaborative and coachable.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organization, follow‑through, and the ability to manage daily prospecting, research, and follow‑up activities.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet activity and pipeline‑generation expectations.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities, learn quickly, and maintain a positive, solutions‑focused attitude.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot is a plus.
- Proficient in Google Suite; experience with tools like Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar prospecting platforms is a plus.

- The expected salary range for this role may differ based upon the candidate. Salary presented with a job offer will be based on factors such as calibrated job level, educational background, prior work experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.

- 2 work from anywhere weeks per year, with additional weeks earned with tenure
