Job summary

  • Recruit, qualify, and expand a nationwide network of independent property inspectors to support current and future markets.
  • Assign inspections based on geography, experience, and availability; coordinate scheduling with inspectors, clients, and the appraisal team.
  • Manage inspection logistics, including access instructions, special requirements, and communications; resolve day-of issues.
  • Ensure transfer of inspection deliverables to the appraiser and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.

Job description

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of the property inspection process, from recruiting and managing a nationwide network of independent inspectors to coordinating inspections and ensuring the timely delivery of inspection materials to our appraisal team. This position serves as the primary liaison between inspectors, clients, appraisers, and internal staff to ensure inspections are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong relationship management abilities, and the capacity to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspector Network Development
    • Recruit, qualify, and expand a nationwide network of independent property inspectors to support current and future markets.
    • Source prospective inspectors through the ASC National Registry, industry databases, professional associations, and other recruiting channels.
    • Conduct proactive outreach via phone, email, text, and LinkedIn
    • Communicate the benefits of partnering with our firm, including a consistent pipeline of assignments, administrative support, compensation commensurate with what they currently earn, and referral opportunities for residential appraisal work.
    • Maintain an active pipeline of prospective inspectors to support business growth.
  • Inspection Coordination
    • Assign inspections to the most qualified inspector based on geographic proximity, experience, and availability.
    • Coordinate inspection scheduling with inspectors, property contacts, and clients, leveraging automated CRM processes to improve efficiency and communication.
    • Manage all inspection logistics, including access instructions, special requirements, scheduling changes, and client communications.
    • Resolve any day-of issues that arise with clients, sales people, inspectors, or even appraisers.
  • Inspection Operations & Quality Assurance
    • Ensure the prompt and accurate transfer of inspection deliverables—including photographs, measurements, field notes, and supporting documentation—to the assigned appraiser.
    • Process inspector payments accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Maintain detailed records of inspections, inspector activity, and communications within the company\'s CRM and operational systems.
    • Collaborate with leadership to improve inspection processes, recruitment strategies, and operational efficiency.
    • Monitor key performance metrics and contribute to departmental goals related to inspection turnaround times, inspector network growth, and service quality.
