Job summary

selfpublishing.com is seeking an energetic Sales Development Representative in the Austin area to be the first contact for aspiring authors. You will learn their story, map goals, and arrange consults with Publishing Strategists, while also representing the brand at 2–4 live events monthly.

You will thrive in a high-impact, fast-growth environment, handling warm leads, driving conversations, and helping grow a mission-driven sales organization.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience with a track record of success.
• CRM & structured sales process experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently (2–4 events per month).
• Live in the Austin area (Westlake proximity).

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to warm, qualified leads (no cold calls).
• Have real conversations with purpose-driven people.
• Discover each prospect’s goals, challenges, and current stage.
• Set high-quality, no-cost strategy calls with our Publishing team.
• Represent selfpublishing.com at live events (2–4 per month).
• Speak confidently on stage, sharing our mission and services.
• Collaborate with a fast-moving team, give feedback, and help build a world-class sales organization.
