Opportunity Summary

As a Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and developing a best-in-class team of SDRs. To be successful in this role, you must be a passionate leader who excels at coaching and developing your team. You will be responsible for teaching the SDR team the skills they need to be effective, like sourcing and prospecting, cold-calling, pitching, qualification, objection handling, booking meetings, opportunity and pipeline creation. You will be tasked with leading the SDR team to uncover new business opportunities for our sales organization, with the main goal of hitting and exceeding monthly opportunity creation and pipeline targets.

You will be responsible for developing and executing effective outbound SDR plays in partnership with Marketing and Sales to open new conversations. Your ability to partner with leaders from Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations is crucial in this role. You must also be hands-on and scrappy, willing to do all aspects of the SDR role yourself. You must be able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and balance multiple tasks. Your success will be measured by your ability to effectively increase the quality while ensuring the quantity of qualified opportunities that our SDR team is bringing in over time.

Reporting directly to our Director of Sales Development, you should be an experienced leader with the ability to motivate a large SDR team and help our Sales teams hit their bookings goals. We are looking for someone who enjoys challenges, problem solving, coaching, and creates an environment that brings out the best work of their team. You will be responsible for creating a scalable SDR program that yields repeatable pipeline results, improving processes along the way, and developing your team.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and coach a high performing SDR Team
  • Design and facilitate regular training on product, industry, and selling skills
  • Coach and mentor SDRs on personal and professional development
  • Report and analyze individual and team performance metrics to isolate trends & opportunities to improve
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional leaders
  • Motivate and inspire SDRs to reach their full potential
  • Lead by example by getting into the weeds of the day-to-day SDR operation
  • Problem solve and strategize to optimize performance results
  • Creatively reward and incentivize positive behavior and results
  • Identify opportunities to improve on process, efficiency, selling skills, and implementation
  • Create a positive and collaborative environment to facilitate growth

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success as an SDR manager in the B2B SaaS space (1 year requirement)
  • Proven ability to motivate sales development reps and exceed team goals
  • Proven individual success in quota carrying roles
  • 2+ years in SaaS sales/SDR role
  • Experience with matrix organizations or companies with multiple GTM motions (preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • BA/BS or equivalent practical experience required
