Job summary

RRD is seeking an ambitious candidate for the Associate Development Program in Des Moines, IA. This full-time, entry-level role begins with a four-month training program designed to prepare you as a Sales Associate for RRD.

The program emphasizes learning sales steps, prospecting, and shadowing while you support senior reps and build a funnel for your post-training assignment. Expect a Feb 2027 cohort start; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in sales, marketing, business, communications, packaging, economics, or related fields with an interest in sales.
• Excellent listening skills to understand customer needs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High motivation to learn; make data-driven decisions and explain ROI to customers.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
• Driven and motivated to succeed in the sales field.
• Prior experience using a CRM (e.g. Salesforce) (Preferred).
• Sales internship or experience selling.
• Require reliable transportation to travel to clients within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform RRD's sales steps through training and observation.
• Learn and execute prospecting and cold calling to build new accounts.
• Shadow sales representatives (some travel required).
• Assist senior sales representatives in sourcing, securing and managing business, both new and existing.
• Attend internal and external sales meetings.
• Maintain relationships with existing accounts and customers.
• Build a sales funnel for post-training assignment.
• Continued development opportunities through marketing and sales publications.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects.
