TRITECH Communications Inc. in New York requests a Sales Engineer (Design Engineer) to bridge sales and technology, providing pre-sales support for design/build proposals within the Security division.

You will collaborate with account managers, develop system design drawings, construction documents, cost proposals, and budgets, while coordinating with architects and trades. Qualifications include an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), IT experience, CAD and Excel proficiency, and vendor

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required in Electronics, Engineering, or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in IT field required; vendor certifications encouraged; CAD and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology design discussions with end users and project teams to understand goals and challenges.
• Develop preliminary system designs, drawings, equipment specs and cost proposals.
• Create rough-order-of-magnitude budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP and trades.
• Prepare sales proposals and send approved proposals to clients.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and design team.
• Collaborate with project teams to verify system functionality.
• Develop knowledge of current and new technologies.
• Share lessons learned with sales and engineering staff.
• Work with AV and Security design engineers and other disciplines.
